Part 1
There are a lot of get rich quick schemes. The truth is that they usually don't work. The best way to get ahead is to make a plan, work, and continue to grind. If you always jump from one scheme to another, you will continue to struggle. If you are too unstable to ever establish roots (pay your dues, climb the ladder, etc.), how do you ever expect to blossom?
Proverbs 12:11 (NKJV) He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread, But he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.
Proverbs 12:11 (NLT) A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies has no sense.
Part 2
Most people that won't hold a steady job because they don't want to "work for the man" end up living off of Uncle Sam. It's admirable if you can make it chasing your dream job or starting you own business. If you can't provide for your family in this manner, you must find some other means. A bad job is better than no job. Whatever it takes, if you are able, you must take care of your responsibilities.
Colossians 3:23 (NLT) Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NLT) Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. Then people who are not believers will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others.
2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (NLT) Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.” Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business. We command such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and work to earn their own living.
1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV) But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
